Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you. It was our first Valentines in our new location and we managed to sweeten up a whole lot of lives. One lucky girlfriend had balloons waiting for her at the restaurant they were going to, a mama surprised her little one with a small bouquet of balloons and tied it to her hand for there walk around the Quay and a whole lot of kids were left running around on a sugar high. My 2 girls did contribute to this as they gave out foiled chocolate hearts and lips to their classes. I may have eaten 10 too many while helping them but they were so delicious. I remember bringing home my envelope or box when I was young and being so excited to see what valentines my friends gave to me. So when they came home from school yesterday I was more excited than them to see what cute Valentines they received in there homemade envelopes. Which I might add are now saved in there art boxes to keep forever, hehe.
Usually when people think of Valentines and treats, they think of chocolate. But why not giftt a loved one a bouquet of fun valentines inspired balloons or a bag full of yummy candy. Other fun options my kids received were glow sticks, note books, tattoos and pencils.
We love the non-traditional traditions, we are all about bringing the fun back into any celebration, that "some kind of wonderful" ~ Jen
